We've got a   plant to SAVe

 Let's get to work!

CommBox is committed to building a sustainable AV industry. Together with the global SAVe initiative, we are driving a reuse and recycle ecosystem for AV technology, ensuring that display solutions are both innovative and environmentally responsible.

Why  Sustainability
in AV Matters

The AV industry plays a critical role in the global climate challenge. From rising e-waste to carbon emissions, our sector must take bold steps to align with the UN's 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Sustainability in AV refers to reducing electronic waste, enhancing energy efficiency, and designing technology that operates in harmony with the environment. By embedding eco-conscious practices across the industry, we can lead the way towards a net-zero AV industry.

About the  SAVe  Initiative

Sustainability in AV (SAVe) is the first U.S.-based, industry-wide non-profit dedicated to uniting the global AV community in support of the UN 2030 SDGs.

In Australia, Sarah Drysdale (CommBox) and Yas Grigaliunas (Videopro) proudly serve as Co-Ambassadors of SAVe. Together, they are inspiring the Australian AV industry to take responsibility and act with purpose.

CommBox's  Commitment

At CommBox, we believe sustainable display technology should be the industry standard. Our commitment to sustainability in AV includes:

  • Eco-conscious product design: Displays built with recyclable materials and RoHS-standard, lead-free components.

  • Energy efficiency: Continuous innovation to reduce energy usage and operating costs.

  • Renewable-powered manufacturing: Partnering with factories that use solar energy and feed surplus power back to the grid.

  • AV recycling and buy-back programs: Extending product lifecycles and ensuring end-of-life units are processed through certified e-waste providers.

  • Zero waste targets: Phasing out single-use plastics, maximising recycling, and reducing landfill.

  • Net zero ambition: Reducing Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions to achieve net zero AV operations.

Together, these actions help us to deliver eco-friendly AV solutions that strike a balance between innovation and responsibility.

At CommBox, we believe sustainable display technology should never end up as waste. That’s why we run buy-back programs to extend the life of our AV solutions.

Displays that can be reused are repurposed for new environments, while products that cannot be reused are processed through certified e-waste providers. This ensures that valuable components are recovered safely and reintroduced into the supply chain.

Our commitment to AV recycling is supported by eco-conscious product design. Every CommBox display uses recyclable materials, RoHS-standard, lead-free components, and energy-efficient technology to minimise both operating costs and environmental impact.

By combining eco-friendly AV solutions, renewable-powered manufacturing, and zero-waste targets, CommBox is helping build a net-zero AV industry where innovation and responsibility go hand in hand.
